North Fork Ready Mix was founded in 2019 with a straightforward mission: provide reliable, high-quality plumbing and concrete services to the Kauai community at a fair price, backed by the kind of personal service that large companies simply don't offer. In the years since, we've grown from a one-truck operation to a full-service plumbing contractor — not by advertising or aggressive marketing, but by earning the trust of our clients one project at a time.
The name "North Fork Ready Mix" reflects our roots. The north fork of the island — the area around Kilauea, Anahola, and Princeville — is where our owner grew up, learned the trade, and built the relationships that became the foundation of this business. Even as we've expanded to serve the entire island from Waimea to Poipu, we remain grounded in the values that come from being part of a smaller community: integrity, word-of-mouth reputation, and doing right by every customer.

We are licensed (CT-37308) and fully insured. We handle projects ranging from residential fixture replacements to commercial new construction plumbing. Nigel was born and raised on Kauai and has spent his entire career in the plumbing trade. Over 15 years of field experience — working for established companies, apprenticeship programs, and hands-on job sites across the island — gave him the technical foundation and practical knowledge that every successful plumbing business is built on. He obtained his Hawaii plumbing contractor license (CT-37308) in 2020 and founded North Fork Ready Mix to serve the community with a level of care and craftsmanship he believed was missing from the industry.
When he's not on a job site, Nigel is deeply embedded in the local contractor community, maintaining relationships with architects, builders, and fellow tradespeople that benefit his clients through better coordination and faster problem-solving on complex projects.

While Nigel handles the field work, Charissa keeps the business running behind the scenes. Raised on Kauai, she brings a diverse professional background spanning accounting, real estate, business administration, and construction management — giving her a uniquely well-rounded view of how a construction company should operate. Her experience in multiple facets of the industry means she understands the full scope of what clients need, from initial project scoping to final invoicing.
Charissa is typically the first point of contact when you call the office. She handles scheduling, estimate coordination, client communication, and project logistics. Clients consistently mention her responsiveness and clarity as a key part of what makes working with North Fork Ready Mix different from other contractors they've dealt with.
